I’m so excited to share with you the book I have been working on for an year and a half.
I started writing this book at the end of summer 2022 while I was sitting and nursing Marshall. I had recently been watching a group of over 100 people put there homesteading knowledge in a value bundle for a week to share with other like-minded people. I thought, if they could do this, so could I.
The words just flowed onto the paper and I felt like it was so easy. God’s hand was at work, I just started writing it down, as He led. Over the next few months, I spent less time sitting and nursing Marshall, which meant I wasn’t spending as much time finishing the book.
One day I was talking with God and asked him “what am I supposed to do?”, He quickly answered, “finish the book”.
That is what I have been working on, finishing the book.
Lord willing, on February 23, 2024 The Simple Homestead will be available for download. I hope to be able to get some copies printed and made available soon after.
The Simple Homestead is broke into four sections, each section I have included “why” its important to do these things. I think the “why” is often overlooked and then people don’t understand why its important to cook meat with the bone (the bones actually flavor the meat, adding a depth that does not exist with a boneless cut of meat and adds micronutrients that are so important for our bodies).
Over the next 10 days I will be sharing more about this book (it includes more than talk about chickens), that has been a labor of love. I so hope you enjoy the book and find inspiration throughout it.
