If gardening was one of the love languages it would be mine. I absolutely being out in my garden. I plan for months, buy seeds for days and count down the hours until it’s time to start the gardening season. This year our garden is larger then the main floor of our home!! But it wasn’t always that large.
When my husband and I got married we moved into a rental home that had some flower bed space around the home. After deciding that we may be in the rental for more then a few months I got to work cleaning the flowers beds out. Then I did a crazy thing…..I planted vegetables along one side of the house!! I ended up with a few pepper, cucumber and tomato plants in that flower bed for 5 summers! The last summer we were at that rental I had my plants in the usual summer spot and on the other side of the house we expanded and made a small rectangle so our oldest could have his own gardening space.
I could never had imagined that our garden would grow so much in such a short time (this is our 3rd growing season at our house). And I am excited to continue my time growing with a fall garden this year. I look forward to many delicious meals over winter from the bounty of our garden.
