I have been looking for ways to share more about our homesteading adventures, when all of a sudden (in God’s perfect timing) an idea came to mind.
Over the last 14 years we have grown in our abilities to overcome and see fruit from our work on our homestead.
The work done in the last handful of years is combined with generations of families that made the choices to live this lifestyle. We are simply adding to and continuing upon the foundations that were already laid.

Honey, we’re Homesteading will be a once a month live and recorded video that will be viewable on YouTube.
I look forward to sharing with you every 3rd Friday of the month. Starting March 20, 2026!

I started sharing (off and on again) on YouTube 5 years ago in April. While we are in between Live Classes, feel free to view some of my older videos. Brinker Family Farm YouTube Channel

Each quarter I plan to share a mix of skills and information that I feel will be helpful for EVERYONE. Whether you live on lots of land in the country or in an apartment in the middle of the city. These classes will hopefully inspire you to Grow Something Beautiful.

I’m one that can overthink a simple project because it’s new. Can you relate?
I don’t like to ‘waste’.
But here’s the hard truth, sometimes that’s the only way to grow. You won’t know if something is going to work, or if it’s something you are really going to like if you don’t try to make it or use it first. While I’m not able to be shoulder to shoulder with you while you try something that is old to the world, but new to you, I want to be able to help you feel the confidence to try.
Each quarter we will learn something old together. It might not turn out the first, second or third time. But that doesn’t mean your ‘bad’ at it, it just means you need to take a break then try again.
An example that is fresh on my mind is sourdough. I have tried and tried and tried to get it and understand how to keep it alive for YEARS! A few months ago I got a new starter from a new friend and guess what?! I can keep it alive and make some good ( and some not so good) things with it.
Practice and patience will get us all further along than most of us want to admit. That is why we are joining hands and going to do this together.

I couldn’t host an event without including the garden.
The garden is my happy place. The flowers, the cucumbers, the herbs and the sun beating down on my back is my favorite. The nice thing about gardens is they can look so completely different (as they should) from one family to the other. We can all Grow Something Beautiful even in the smallest of places.

If you have followed us for any amount of time or are new here, you will quickly see that raising beef cattle is a big thing for us.
We grew up with families that raised Hereford cows and had freezers with the best farm raised beef. Early in our marriage we knew that was something we wanted for our family.
The big difference is we have mixed herd of beautiful cows that bring us joy (most of the time ).
While I am fully aware that not everyone can or would like to have their own herd of cows, you can still find and support local families verse the big box stores.
Each quarter we will dive into what is going on in the pasture and how you can support the local movement to provide USA beef to families all over the country.
I look forward to diving into all these and so much more every 3rd Friday of the month. Starting March 20, 2026!
