How I feel about 2022

It’s hard to believe we are at the end of another year.

Bo and I celebrated 10 years of marriage this June and it has definitely been another roller coaster year!

This year brought a lot of growth to our homestead, from having Marshall to adding all the animals.

This year has also been a year that had a lot of struggles.I have a lot of emotions surrounding my pregnancy and birth of Marshall that most of the time I try to not think much about. With all the growth we also had some death, and some learning curves. It’s all part of the process but still feels heavy at times.

As the year comes to a close and a new one is about to start, I’m trying to spend time recalling the good times, the laughs and the smiles shared among our family.

I’m grateful for the people that have spent time watching our videos, reading my posts and ordering from us. That keeps me dreaming and hoping the struggles will be less next year. I know on this side of heaven struggles are to be expected and lessons are often hidden in between the hard times.

I’m looking forward to working on my book, The Simple Homestead, adding more to our shop and growing LOTS of beautiful things next year.

Bo will be busy adding more fence to our homestead and hopefully seeing some new calves in the summer months.

I’m sure our kids will continue to grow as fast as the spring grass.

I pray that you all have a blessed remainder of 2022 and a prosperous 2023.

As we hunker down for our winter rest, I hope you take time to dream and to think of ways you can Grow Something Beautiful in the coming year.

May you be Blessed!

Until Next Time,
